TweakXPlorer is a program that allows you to enhance your Windows Explorer look. It using the Microsoft ?secret? tweak that have not included on Windows XP.

Some TweakXPlorer key features are:

  • Give your folder an eye catching background.
  • Give Explorer or IE6 toolbar a background.
  • Show your picture as folder thumbnail.
  • Resize thumbnail displayed on Explorer, if you think it is too small.
  • Set picture quality for thumbnail.
  • Disable thumbnail caching.

Two languages are included: English and Indonesian. You can also add your own language.

TweakXPlorer has many differences than the other same kind of program.

  • Does not require any framework to run it. It can run on all computers.
  • It?s portable, meaning that you does not need to install it. You can include and bring this program on your flashdisk so you can use it anywhere.
  • Small file size, only 2,5 MB. If you think that is too big, you can save some space by deleting updater (if your PC are not connected to internet) and the help file (if you already know how to use this program). It will remains 1 MB in your disk :-)
  • Context menu integration. Just select and right click on a folder and select TweakXPlorer menu item, then TweakXPlorer automatically launched with the folder has been set to selected folder.

  • Added: TweakFolder “Select Color” feature.
  • Now you can specify height on TweakToolbar. 96 pixel is set by default.

  • Now can open specified topic on translated help file.
  • Some interface changes in TweakFolder and TweakTaskbar.
  • Now TweakXPlorer saves the settings on application folder instead of system folder.

  • Removed download feature from Updater, for efficiency. From now you can download update patch from our website.
  • Fixed placement bugs that causes some texts overlapping each other.
  • Fixed : “Select Language” and “License Agreement” screen appears behind the active window. Now it will go to the front of active window.
  • Fixed : TweakXPlorer cannot refresh the preview when selecting two different pictures that have identical file name.
  • Fixed : Changes when Indonesian language pack is missing then English language pack will be created. Now it will only set language to English if Indonesian language pack is not available.
  • Some other changes and fixes to improve TweakXPlorer.
