EeeMC is a Linux distribution based on Ubuntu with XBMC and MythTV.
Go to http://eeemc.blog.com/eeemc-installation-guide/ for all of the necessary installation information. Basically it is a remastersys copy of a fully setup Linux system with all of the necessary script changes and sudoers authorities completed.
With minimal setup requirements the user will have an excellent HTPC based on the well sorted Ubuntu 9.10 base.
This is the latest version of EeeMC. Now based on Ubuntu 9.10 and MythTV .22. Incorporates the latest ALSA Sound Package 1.0.22.1, http://www.alsa-project.org/main/index.php/Main_Page.
Includes a 15 band Graphic Equaliser. I have been testing this set up with my Logitech Z-5500 Digital 5.1 Speaker System and the sound quality is incredible, far better than my Window?s setup using the same speakers.
With the Graphic Equaliser you will need to connect a keyboard to your HTPC to setup different sound configurations, and to set your base sound levels.
Greatly improved script for restarting system, as part of the scheduled recordings process.

This theme is attractive and functional. I will look at a selection of backgrounds in the near future for people who do not like black. In MediaPortal I have a selection of skins that have had close to 20,000 downloads, still learning the intricacies of the MythTV themes.
Note: This download is an .iso file which needs to be burned to DVD.
